Celebrating Iqbal Day - 9 November

The 132nd birth anniversary of the great poet-philosopher Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal will be celebrated here on Monday 9 November 2009. Various organizations have organized functions to mark the day.
We need to encourage forward movement in philosophical thought instead of abandoning the interpretation of Islamic teachings to any individual or group.
Allama Iqbal was a great poet and philosopher of not only the sub-continent but also the Muslim Ummah.
